This calculation is for informational purposes only and does not replace advice from a qualified professional. Formulas and rates may not fit your exact situation — double-check the figures before making decisions.

How it is calculated

Conversion rate = target actions ÷ emails sent × 100%. This is the last, narrowest stage of the email funnel: it comes after Open Rate (opened the email) and Click Rate (clicked a link), and shows what share of all recipients ultimately took the target action.

Computing conversion from emails sent, rather than from opens or clicks, is deliberate — it covers the whole path from an email in the inbox to the outcome, and honestly reflects the whole campaign's effectiveness, not just the part of the audience that already showed interest.

If you need to assess specifically how well the subject line, or the copy and design, are working, Open Rate and Click Rate are more precise on their own — they localize the problem to a specific funnel stage instead of only capturing the end result.
