How it is calculated

Traffic required = lead target ÷ (conversion rate ÷ 100). This is the reverse of computing conversion: instead of finding conversion from known traffic and leads, this finds the traffic needed from a known conversion rate and a target lead count.

The calculation assumes conversion stays at the current level regardless of traffic volume — in practice, conversion often drops slightly as volume grows, if extra traffic has to come from less targeted sources.

The metric treats traffic as a whole, without a channel breakdown — if different channels convert differently, it's more accurate to plan the required volume separately per source rather than off a site-wide average.
