How it is calculated
Total = state fee + notary services + legal support + other expenses — a simple sum of the line items you enter.
The state fee is often waived for electronic filing through the tax office site or a notary for a sole proprietorship, and can be zero for a company filed online too — set it to 0 if that's your case.
A notary isn't always needed: for a sole proprietorship, only if you're not filing in person; for a company, only if not all founders are present at filing or the filing isn't electronic. Leave the field blank if you don't need one.
