How it is calculated

Cups from a bag = bag weight in grams ÷ dose per cup. Coffee cost in the cup = bag price ÷ number of cups — turning the bag price into the cost of a single dose.

Full cost per cup = coffee + extra costs (milk, cup, lid, syrup). That total is what you compare against the menu price, not the beans alone — on milk drinks the beans are often not the main cost line.

Profit and food cost are calculated the same way as for any dish: profit = menu price − cost, food cost = cost ÷ menu price × 100%.
