How it is calculated

Each ingredient's calories and macros scale with weight: value = weight ÷ 100 × the per-100g figure. Summing every row gives the dish's total calories, macros and finished weight (the weight you enter should already account for cooking loss, if any).

Per 100g of the finished dish = dish total ÷ total weight × 100. That is the standard way nutrition facts are listed on menus and packaging, and it's what lets you compare dishes.

Per-portion values divide the totals by the number of portions. Portion weight = total weight ÷ portions.

The chart splits calories by the contribution of protein, fat and carbs: protein and carbs give 4 kcal per gram, fat gives 9 kcal per gram. It shows the dish's balance, not just the raw weight of each macro.
