Resin and hardener mix ratio calculator

Enter the target weight of the finished mix and the weight-based mix ratio from the label (e.g. 2 parts resin to 1 part hardener). The calculator works out how much of each component to weigh out.

How it is calculated

Component A weight = target weight × A's parts ÷ (A's parts + B's parts); component B weight is the remainder up to the target weight. The exact ratio is always specified by the manufacturer on the label or data sheet — deviating from it changes the cured material's properties, sometimes irreversibly.

Weighing is more accurate than measuring by volume: most resins and hardeners have different densities, so equal volumes almost never give the stated weight ratio.

Batch cost = (weight A ÷ 1000 × price A) + (weight B ÷ 1000 × price B), when both prices are given.
