How it is calculated

Benefit amount = average daily earnings × sick-leave days. The benefit is paid for the whole leave period at once, not month by month.

Average daily earnings are calculated over the 2 calendar years before the leave, subject to that period's insurance contribution caps — if you need to compute it from scratch off actual pay, do that separately and plug the result in here.

The benefit is capped by minimum and maximum amounts set by law that change yearly — if your calculated average earnings fall outside those bounds, the actual payout will differ from this calculator's result.
