How it is calculated

Total payroll = base payroll + bonuses + allowances. Bonuses & allowances share = (bonuses + allowances) ÷ total payroll × 100.

If you still need to compute the base payroll from individual salaries, use the department payroll calculator — this one takes the summed salary total as a given.

A high bonus share isn't automatically bad (it can reflect piece-rate or KPI-based pay), but check it against your planned staff-cost structure: if bonuses grow faster than revenue, that's a signal to review the incentive scheme.
