How it is calculated
Average per month = the sum of employees on vacation across all months ÷ the number of months entered. Busiest month is the largest value entered.
Peak over average = (busiest month − average) ÷ average × 100 — the higher this number, the more uneven the schedule, and the higher the understaffing risk in that peak month (usually summer or the New Year holidays).
The calculator doesn't check who specifically is away — only the total simultaneously absent. If employees with unique skills happen to leave together in the peak month, the real business risk is higher than the raw number shows.
