How it is calculated
Workstation cost = rent per sqm × floor space per employee + equipment cost per month + other costs per month. The calculation adds up every recurring cost of maintaining one office workstation into a single figure comparable across alternatives.
This cost doesn't include the employee's own salary — it's about workspace infrastructure, not the cost of labor. Employee cost to the employer (salary plus taxes and contributions) is computed separately — the two figures complement each other rather than replace one another.
