How it is calculated
Bonus = salary × bonus percentage ÷ 100. It's the simplest and most common scheme — a flat percentage of salary, with no link to KPI achievement or other conditions.
Unlike a KPI bonus, which varies with how much of a target was hit, a bonus under this scheme is usually fixed at the time it's granted — for example, a 13th-month payment, a flat-percentage annual bonus, or a signing bonus.
Bonus taxation doesn't always match regular salary taxation — some jurisdictions and specific bonus types have their own withholding rules. Worth checking separately if this is being calculated for an actual payout rather than a budget estimate.
