How it is calculated

Productivity loss cost = salary for the position × time to full productivity × productivity loss percentage ÷ 100 — the value lost because the new hire isn't yet at full output, even though they're paid in full.

Total replacement cost = recruiting cost + onboarding cost + productivity loss cost.

This result is the cost of ONE replacement. To calculate the total company-wide turnover loss for a period, plug this result in as the "cost per replacement" in the turnover cost calculator and multiply by the number of departures.
