How it is calculated
Employees are split into three groups by their answer to "How likely are you to recommend this company as a place to work to a friend or acquaintance?" on a 0–10 scale: promoters (9–10), passives (7–8) and detractors (0–6).
eNPS = share of promoters − share of detractors, in percentage points of all respondents. Passives only affect the denominator — they don't add or subtract from the score directly, but they dilute both the promoter and detractor shares.
The score ranges from −100 (everyone a detractor) to +100 (everyone a promoter). There's no universal "good" value — it depends heavily on industry, company size and exact question wording, so eNPS is more useful tracked over time within the same survey than compared against someone else's number.
